In just three months, our consulting team supported the successful development and fundraising strategy behind a $1.5 million workforce development initiative for Los Angeles Urban League — a 120-year-old civil rights and workforce organization serving communities across Los Angeles. The program, BRIDGES LA, was designed as a High Road Training Partnership model focused on preparing opportunity youth, foster youth, justice-impacted individuals, and other historically under-resourced residents for careers in emerging industries including Ethical AI, IT & digital careers, and sustainable construction. The initiative aligned workforce development with equity, economic resilience, climate resilience, and long-term job quality outcomes.

Beyond fundraising, our role extended deeply into implementation strategy, systems design, partner coordination, curriculum framing, reporting support, and operational refinement. Working alongside community colleges, industry leaders, workforce partners, and employer stakeholders, we helped shape a participant-centered model that has already trained approximately 230 Angelenos across multiple career pathways. The program intentionally prioritized populations often excluded from high-growth sectors, including opportunity youth, formerly justice-involved individuals, workers facing unemployment or underemployment, and residents from historically disinvested communities.

BRIDGES LA is not only responding to immediate workforce needs — it is helping forge new pathways into emerging technologies, sustainable careers, and industries that will continue to shape Los Angeles in the years ahead. The work matters because it places community members who have historically been left at the margins closer to the center of opportunity, where they can become not only participants in the future economy, but innovators, contributors, and thought partners in building it. As implementation continues, our focus remains equally committed to both operational excellence and human impact: the systems, reporting, partnerships, and infrastructure required to sustain public investment, and the broader ripple effects created when residents gain access to training, career pathways, employer relationships, and the confidence to envision themselves in industries that once felt out of reach.
